By plane: The closest airport to Nelson is the West Kootenay Regional Airport (YCG) in Castlegar. However, it is expensive to fly to this airport and often has cancelations. Instead, we recommend flying to Kelowna or Cranbrook Airport and then driving the 3-4 hours to Nelson.

Once you arrive at the airport, you will need to rent a car or take a bus to Nelson.
